CRUNCHY GRANOLA

A SWEET AND CRUNCHY GRANOLA RECIPE THAT IS AS NUTRIENT DENSE AS I IS DELICIOUS.

Ever since becoming vegan a couple of years ago, I've been learning about the different nutrients our body needs. And by all means, you do not need to be vegan to have a closer look at what your body actually needs to thrive. Omega 3 are a family of essential fatty acid, that is essential to our well being. They promote a good heart and brain health, are anti-inflammatory, and help our cells function better.

Omega 3 are present in a fish (but is also accompanied by mercure exposure, cholesterol and the destruction of our oceans. If you chose to eat fish, please try to support smaller, local and wild fishing companies.)

A healthier and more sustainable way to get your Omega 3s is through plants. Seeds contain just as much healthy fatty acids as fish do !

So I've started to batch make this delicious granola recipe, filled with healthy fatty acids, protein and whole plants nutriments. It is filling and satisfying, goes wonderfully with a plant based milk and some fruits, or in coconut yoghurt. It keeps well for up to three weeks and will literally please everyone..

Sharing delicious and nutritious recipes and solutions toward better living.

Start by preheating your oven at 135°c or 275°f.

1. In a large bowl, place all of the dry ingredients and mix them slightly. Place a small pot on medium heat and melt the coconut oil and honey together. When the syrup has melted, add the cinnamon and vanilla extract. and stir well. Then slowly pour the syrup over the bowl. With a spoon, mix the granola until everything is well coated.

2. Then spoon little by little in an oven try with a reusable silicon oven sheet or a paper sheet.

Flatten your granola well on the oven tray, then let it cook in the oven for around 45 minute, or until slightly golden.

3. Allow it to cool completely for an hour before stirring your granola, so that as it hardens it clumps together to make larger bits of granola. Once cooled, break it apart roughly and place it in an airtight container.

This granola recipe is super easy and frankly delicious. It keeps in the container for two to three weeks. Your granola won't go bad, it simply might get humid and soft after a while, and lose it's crunch !

I hope you enjoy this super simple and super healthy granola recipe !

xx
